Frontier Regional School Sign Project Honors Graduating Seniors

(South Deerfield, MA)  —  The Frontier Regional School District has found an innovative way to honor its graduating senior class.

Adorning the front lawn of the South Deerfield School are a series of signs containing the names and pictures of each member of the FRS Class of 2020, which has been forced to forgo the second half of its senior year because of the COVID 19 pandemic.

“These signs are just our small way of saying we appreciate our seniors,: Frontier Assistant Principal Scott Dredge said. “They’ve had a lot taken away from them this spring, and this is a way of thanking them for their resiliency and their patience.”

Dredge said the idea for the signs came from a group of parents who had heard about a similar effort in another part of the country.
